Colonial Recipe with an added touch of goat milk
Shortbread is one of the earliest “cookey” recipes in colonial America. So there’s no doubt it was made in the Johanna Beekman's kitchen back in 1802. But only for special occasions... butter was a pretty valuable ingredient in those days. We add a little goat milk to our shortbread mix, because, well... goat milk makes everything taste better. Try these delicious, buttery treats with coffee, tea, or a big glass of cold milk. Need a special occasion? Well we just declared today “Shortbread for Everyone Day.” Seriously. We can do that.
