    Handcrafted by Vermont blacksmith Molly Petraska

    You can call us most anything, just don't call us late for dinner. Back in 1802, when William Beekman had his mercantile near the farm, triangular "chuckwagon bells" were probably a pretty hot seller. Beekman built his mercantile at the end of the Loonenburg Turnpike for good reason: it was the last stop for supplies for folks heading west. Chuckwagon bells were popular since they were flat and therefore easier to pack.

    Our super-big dinner bell is hand forged by Vermont blacksmith, Molly Petraska, and comes with leather hanging strap, striker, wall mount & screw. All pieces have a natural boiled linseed oil finish. Metal will develop a rustic dark rusted patina over time if used outdoors.
