Just a few years before William Beekman opened his mercantile in Sharon Springs, the herb and spice offerings in Colonial America would have been slim. But by the time William Beekman opened his doors, early America's culinary horizons were exploding. Trade routes simultaneously opened to both the Far East and Latin/South America. Our 19th Century Spice Sampler contains nine of the kinds of new, "exotic," spice blends that William Beekman may have had on his store shelves.
All spices are ground just for us, in small batches, immediately before packaging to ensure peak freshness. Each sampler kit contains nine tins of spice blends, neatly arranged in a large covered metal tray. Suggested uses for each blend are listed on the side card.
Kit includes: Berbere blend, Anatolian Rub, Heritage Chicken Blend, Fines Herbes, Vadouvan Curry, Cocoa Chicory, New England Fish Blend, Uyghur Blend, Beef Pot Rub.
