Launching a new magazine in this day and age is rare thing, but we were inspired by a copy of the Farmer’s Almanac from the year 1802 that we found on ebay. In the margins the owner had scribbled everything from the number of eggs obtained each day to the birth of a child—as if they were all of equal importance.

We thought how wonderful it would be to create a Beekman 1802 guide to help you get the most out of each season and “cultivate a better life”.
