Bees have always been important workers at Beekman farm, pollinating the heirloom garden beds and fruit trees in spring and summer and providing honey for some of the delicious foods in the Mercantile. Their industriousness inspired the design for this pillow and fits the Beekman motto: Work hard. Never quit. Help your neighbor.
Each pillow is hooked individually by hand at Parris House Wool Works in the heritage craft’s tradition using wool fabric strips on a linen backing, and finished by hand stitching together the hooked front and wool back. This pillow includes hand glass beaded eyes and wool and novelty yarns in the wings. The dandelion wool is hand dyed to just the right colors in the artisan’s studio.
The pillow is stuffed with a hypo-allergenic pillow form. May be spot/surface cleaned.
